Camp Description
UCLA Basketball Alum Jeff Dunlap founded the Complete Player Basketball Camp in Huntington Beach, CA in 1989. Today, CPBA is recognized as Southern California’s premier teaching camp. Jeff has been a college coach for over 20 years. The academy is modeled after the John Wooden Basketball Camps. Jeff worked with Coach Wooden at his camps for 13 years. Complete Player is devoted to teaching youngsters the fundamentals of basketball.
Week-Long Training Sessions
Los Alamitos, Agoura, Huntington Beach
Jeff Dunlap founded the Complete Player Basketball Camp in Huntington Beach, California in 1989. The week-long training sessions run Monday through Friday 9 am – 3 pm. The Complete Player Basketball Academy is for both boys and girls, ages 4 – 17. Players are put in their appropriate age groups.
The camp is structured to give each player a challenging selection of drills and habit-building exercises that will improve their "complete" game. Clinics will include shooting the ball properly from various positions on the court, ball handling and dribbling skills, passing, defending on the perimeter and in the post, the pick and roll game and rebounding.
Complete Player has advanced player stations that cater to a more experienced player. Players will be selected to join in these more advanced drills.
3 Day Offensive Skills Sessions
Los Alamitos, Woodland Hills, Encino, Huntington Beach, Calabasas
The 3 Day Camp works specifically on offensive skills and shooting. We'll put each player through a series of individual breakdown drills and get up several hundred shots a day. Each player will receive a video tape analysis of their jump shots. Our experienced staff will breakdown your shot and give some teaching points to work on. We wil work on an array of shots both from the post and the perimeter positions.
The players will go through Coach Dunlap's "Snap and Hold" workout. This workout has been refined over 25 years and promises to give each youngster a solid foundation to continue excelling beyond the Academy. This shooting camp is not a traditional full session CPBA camp.
